The tashas team has worked tirelessly to not only ensure that its restaurants and teams are prepared to welcome guests back safely, but tashas founder Natasha Sideris has been active in ensuring that all restaurants in SA are covid-ready. As a founder of The Restaurant Collective, a collaborative effort between some of the biggest restaurant names in SA to uplift the sit-down restaurant industry in SA, she’s been helping to share best practice so that the industry thrives as much as possible during this time.

Changes to the restaurant operations include opening times from 8AM – 6PM with all of the government protocols being adhered to including social distancing. All team members will wear masks, with all surfaces constantly sanitised and disposable and digital menus and contactless payment options offered. To ensure these standards are met at all times, hourly audits by the in-house “COVID Champions” will be conducted, so guests can dine with peace of mind.

“During this pause, that has seen the world stop like never before, we have had a chance to reflect and re-evaluate our already wonderful tashas brand. It’s time to simplify and focus on what matters most. We are immensely grateful for our guests’ continued support and look forward to welcoming them back again to their home away from home,” says Natasha.

With their new mantra “sophisticated simplicity”, the menu has been refined to offer the best of the best that tashas has to offer.  Signature dishes include the Greenland Quesadilla, Salmon Trout Fishcakes and the favourite Butternut Salad. Cakes and desserts are also available through the simplified cake displays.
