Woodstock in Cape Town is the home of newly-launched Stock Exchange, a hotel managed by Newmark Hotels, Residences & Lodges and part of the WEX1 mixed use development. The WEX1 building includes residential units, restaurants and retail outlets, and is located on Albert Road opposite the Woodstock Exchange.
The hotel launched on the 1st of March and contains 33 apartment-style rooms. The room types are studio, studio deluxe and two-bedroom apartments, and have been split into three design themes – Urban Jungle, Urban Art and Urban Pattern. The hotel supports local designers by featuring furniture and décor items in hotel rooms, each of which are pinpointed on a map of Woodstock which allows guests to source an item for themselves.
Comments Neil Markovitz, MD of Newmark Hotels, Residences, Reserves & Lodges: “We’re thrilled with the outcome of Stock Exchange, following months of outstanding collaboration with world-class teams. The most rewarding element of any new hotel opening, as is the case with Stock Exchange, is knowing that guests are able to experience our vision for exceptional hospitality in tangible form.”
