Employees of the Radisson Blu Gautrain, based in Sandton, have collected items throughout the year to donate to the Rays of Hope Foundation. This is part of the team’s responsible business drive to help those that are less fortunate in the community, and all of the items were handed to the foundation on the 3rd of December so that it can reach those in need before Christmas.

The hotel staff and management team collected clothes, food items, household items, linen and toys for the social outreach projects in Alexandra Township. Rays of Hope is a Non-Profit Company (NPC) and a Public Benefit Organisation (PBO), which manages many social outreach projects in Alexandra Township (Alex) in northern Johannesburg. Their goal is to enable individuals and families to improve all aspects of their lives, creating a lasting impact on the broader Alex residential community.

Nikola Jelenovic, General Manager of Radisson Blu Gautrain, said, “it thrills us to support this initiative and to help the efforts of Rays of Hope to assist those in need. During this unprecedented time, we need to stand together in solidarity and assist in any way we can, especially the underprivileged who are bearing the affects of the Covid-19 pandemic more severely.”
