Siyanda Dlamini, best known for Regency Apartment Menlyn Hotel, has added another property to his portfolio – River Meadow Manor. The boutique hotel, conference and wedding venue is situated between Joburg and Pretoria, with capacity for accommodation of 30 guests and plans to launch large-capacity event venues in December and January.
The property is a great coup for Siyanda, who has wanted to add large scale conferencing and wedding capabilities to his extensive property portfolio and Level 1 BEE hotel management business. While River Meadow Manor is conveniently close to two major city centres and 20 minutes away from the OR Tambo International Airport, it still feels like a retreat – the setting is rich with history and was previously owned by Jan Smuts.
Rooms are spacious and contemporary with high ceilings, large bay windows, en suite bathrooms and private patios. Each room has either a king or two twin beds, air-conditioning, underfloor heating, capsule coffee machine and a mini bar. The hotel is equipped for guests with disabilities, and there’s Wi-Fi, 24-hour security and a shuttle service and airport transfers.
Five conference rooms are dotted around the property, and range in size. The events team can accommodate a variety of functions, including Banquet, Cabaret, Classroom, Boardroom and Cinema. This means that the property is perfect for a wide range of events – from weddings and baby showers to gala dinners, kitchen teas and year-end functions. For large events, though, there’s the 250-seater glass conservatory for premium functions (set to open in December 2019), and in January 2020 the 350-seater multipurpose venue will be revealed.
