Aligning beautifully with the hotel’s eco-friendly ethos, Hotel Verde Cape Town Airport has opened Renew, a treatment room that offers a simple selection of sustainable treatments. The hotel’s location at the airport means that it’s a perfect pick-me-up for travellers, many of who are paying more attention to sustainability.

Lindy Meiring, General Manager at Hotel Verde, says that as a sustainable hotel they continually look at ways of improving their green offering and have recognised the need for a treatment facility that offers a simple, eco-friendly list of treatments.  “It is ideal for the corporate or leisure traveller who is looking for a quick pick-me-up in between meetings, before flying out or after a gym work-out,” she explains.

On the list of treatments are:

  • Full Body Massage
  • Back Neck and Shoulder
  • Facial and Indian Head Massage
  • Foot and Leg Massage
  • Add On: Hand and Arm Massage

So, what makes spa treatments sustainable? In this case, the products that are used in Hotel Verde Cape Town Airport’s Renew treatment room are natural. Not only are the products eco-friendly, but sustainable practices and guidelines are followed throughout the treatment itself – water is conserved, energy is used sparingly and waste is kept to a minimum.
