After twelve months of planning, there’s just 2 days to go until the 2018 edition of Hostex powering Food & Hospitality Africa and IFEA at Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand. The show is kicking off on Sunday the 6th of May at 09h30, and this year it’s going to be opened by the newly-appointed President of the SA Chefs Association, Chef James Khoza.

Some of the highlights on the first day of the show are:

  • Free-to-attend seminars in the HOST-ED Theatre open at 10h00 on Sunday, 6 May with a look at what is trending in the food, beverage and hospitality sectors presented by David Kitley from UberEats.   • At 11h00 renowned chef, Reuben Riffel will be demonstrating one of his signature dishes in The Skillery – SA Chefs’ pop-up kitchen and learning hub – and will spending the opening day experiencing everything the show has to offer. “It is an honour to host Reuben once again this year, and we can’t wait to find out what surprises he has in store for us” says Nick Sarnadas.
  • Tea & Coffee Africa returns with caffeinated crafting, boasting a pot-full of exhibitors appealing to anyone with an interest in growing, selling, brewing or drinking tea or coffee! SCASA’s Barista Championships will also be taking place within the Tea & Coffee area on the SCASA stage throughout the expo.

The show runs from 6-8 May and is open from 09h30 to 17h00 on Sunday and Monday, and from 09h30 to 16h30 on Tuesday.
