The DAVINCI Hotel & Suites on Nelson Mandela Square has recently introduced an Urban High Tea menu to its weekend offering. Consisting of both savoury and sweet options, the Weekend Urban High Tea has all the hallmarks of a traditional High Tea, including a selection of Nespresso coffees and Ronnefeldt teas to complement the menu’s many flavours.

The savoury options include both cold and warm choices such as Brie & caramelised onion quiche, smoked salmon, Chef’s salad and assorted sandwiches & croissants as well as chicken pintos, cheese and jalapeño rissoles.

On the sweet side, the menu also consists of freshly baked scones, Cremora & nuttikrust truffles, mango & coconut gâteau, mini mixed berry fruit cocktails and a Chef’s cake selection, all under a towering Croquembouche.

“At DAVINCI, we are always looking at ways to honour timeless cuisine traditions, while putting our own contemporary spin on things,” says DAVINCI Hotel & Suites’Executive Chef, Kalpesh Hansjee, “and this offering is another way for us to do that.”

“After the success of our Valentine’s High Tea, we realised this is the perfect way to reconnect with friends and family for a social get together or a special occasion,” continues Hansjee. “So we wanted to honour this timeless tradition, which has been missing from Sandton scene for far too long.”

The Weekend Urban High Tea is served in the DAVINCI lounge and poolside at the DAVINCI pool and includes a welcome drink of home-made lemonade. The DAVINCI Weekend High Tea is available every Saturday and Sunday from 2pm – 5pm at a cost of R355 per person.
