Many dream of becoming a chef, and now Chefs Ashley Moss and Peter Tempelhoff of the award-winning Greenhouse Restaurant are giving people an opportunity to experience a day in the kitchen.
The Chef for a Day will work a half or full day at the various food preparation stations, within the kitchen, assisting to prepare multiple award-winning dishes whilst learning professional skills and techniques. After a day of working, learning and observing, they will then dine in Greenhouse to experience either a 4-course lunch experience or the 12-course Greenhouse Experience menu for dinner.
Due to the highly personalised and hands on kitchen experience of CHEF FOR A DAY, there are only two spaces available per day over weekends (Friday & Saturday). The cost per person is R1600 for a half day and R2400 for a full day, and the experience is available between the months of August and December.

4:00- 5:00pm Wine Pairing Basics & tasting with Sommelier
5:00-6:00pm Dinner Set Up
6:00-7:00pm Refresh & Change for Dinner (Hotel ‘day room’ provided subject to availability)
