Chef Katlego Mlambo joined the Marabi Club at the beginning of the year, heading up the kitchen and bringing his own brand of cuisine to the Maboneng jazz and food venue. His newly-launched menu continues the Marabi Club’s focus on small plates, with each dish showcasing excellent technique and interesting flavour combinations, and makes for a very exciting addition to the Johannesburg food scene.

Some of the highlights of the new menu include the exceptionally moreish Fresh Burrata with Salsa Macha, a sweet and nutty Mexican salsa; the meltingly-tender Beef Tongue, paired with zippy pickled mustard seeds and creamy parsnip puree; and beautiful kimchi prawns, deep fried and served with lemon butter. Vegetarians are in for a treat with the dish of Pan fried broccoli with smoked almonds and a beautifully balanced blue cheese sauce, and those with a sweet tooth can tuck into the Marabi Club Kit Kat (deep-dark Chocolate Mousse with an Almond Sponge and Orange Ice Cream) or Thyme Roasted Figs with Cinnamon ice cream and roasted hazelnuts.  Take a look at some of the dishes on the new menu below:
