Executive Chef Jane-Therese Mulry has parted ways with the Saxon Hotel Villas and Spa. Jane-Therese has been an invaluable member of the Saxon Culinary team from 2016 as well as an earlier stint during the period 2003-2006.

“This was one of the hardest decisions I have ever had to make and one that was not taken lightly. I have had the most amazing four years at the Saxon, and I would like to thank the Steyn family, Mr Cohen and all staff for making this experience a standout for me. Special mention to my incredible kitchen brigade, without whom, none of what I have achieved would have been possible. This will remain a truly memorable time in my career and I wish my Saxon family every success going forward,” says Jane-Therese.

Managing Director, George Cohen commented: “I would personally like to thank Jane-Therese for her exceptional commitment to the Saxon over the last few years, and I know she will continue to bring her unique brand of passion to the culinary industry. I wish chef Jane-Therese every success and good health in these very trying times.”

Once the hotel has re-opened, Qunu Head Chef Trevor Chikaura will temporarily take the reins while the team plots the way forward for the Saxon Culinary experience.
