Chef Eric Bulpitt, well-known for his most recent stint at Avondale Wines’ FABER Restaurant in Paarl, will be joining the La Motte team and taking up the position of executive chef at Pierneef à La Motte Restaurant. Chef Dale Stevens will be taking up the reins of Head Chef at FABER Restaurant (you can read more on that here)

Chef Eric Bulpitt will be starting at the Franschhoek-based winery on the 1st of May, and replaces Chef Michelle Theron who recently resigned after 8 years at the restaurant to join the Hazendal Wine Estate as Head Chef of their new restaurant.

With a passion for modern cuisine, Chef Eric Bulpitt will be bringing a fresh focus and new excitement to Pierneef à La Motte’s concept of heritage cuisine, while sharing the estate’s principles when it comes to authentic Cape Winelands hospitality, local produce and sustainably sourced ingredients.
