Oude Meester Souverein, a collectors-edition, luxury blend of Savalle-potstilled brandies, all 18 years and older, was recently launched in the Bascule Bar of the Cape Grace Hotel in Cape Town. A double-bass and saxophone performance set the tone for the late-afternoon event, where guests began with brandy cocktails and fresh oysters, before master distiller Brink Liebenberg and brand manager Khosi Ngema showcased the apex of the award-winning Oude Meester range. Gourmet canapés, a sunset over Table Bay and soothing jazz sounds rounded off a beautiful afternoon. For Jennifer Benjamin, it ended on an especially high note. She won a gold sovereign coin in a lucky draw.
